Review by hotel critic
Nestled in a charming neighborhood, Bertha's Place offers a balance of comfort and value, making it a worthwhile option for budget-conscious travelers seeking a touch of luxury. Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff, including a helpful security gentleman who even carried my bag-a welcoming touch that set the tone for my stay. The spacious bedroom featured a flat-screen TV and a bar fridge stocked with water, perfect for unwinding after a day out. Although breakfast isn't provided, there's a coffee station, and the shared kitchen offers convenient options for light snacking. An electric kettle and ironing facilities were available upon request, adding practical conveniences without the extra cost. While the amenities may not scream extravagance, the homely feel and attentive service make it feel like a second home. For anyone prioritizing affordability without sacrificing comfort, Bertha's Place is a solid choice. Just keep in mind-this is about getting the best of both worlds, not necessarily five-star glamour.
